TXU Energy Battery Saver FAQs

  • Who is eligible for this plan?
    Customer with a single-family residence and an Enphase battery that meets the specifications outlined in the plan’s Electricity Facts Label (EFL) and the battery enrollment Terms and Conditions shown above on the main page are eligible to enroll. Current TXU Energy customers who want to enroll on this plan must be in “good standing”, which is defined as having no past due balances, deferred payment plans or other arrangements.
  • What happens if I need my battery during an outage?
    You’ll always be able to access 20% of your battery’s capacity for personal use. During an outage, all the energy stored in your battery will be for home use and will not go out to the grid. Also, during this time any energy coming from your solar panels will be rerouted to charge your battery and power your home before being sent to the grid.
  • How do I enroll on this plan?
    You must receive an invitation via email or some other form of digital communication from Enphase or TXU Energy inviting you enroll on this plan. Currently, this plan is not open to the general public.
  • How do I enroll my battery on this plan?
    You must first enroll on the TXU Energy Battery Saver 60 plan. Instructions will be sent via email from TXU Energy and available in your TXU Energy MyAccount on how to enroll your battery using a designated online portal. If you have further questions regarding the battery enrollment process, please contact us at batteryrewards@txu.com.
  • Can I unenroll my battery from this plan?
    There is no mechanism to unenroll your battery without cancelling your plan. To unenroll your battery, you must cancel your plan by calling TXU Energy customer service and speaking to an agent or utilizing the plan cancellation function in TXU Energy MyAccount. Plans cancelled during the contract term will be subject to an early termination fee. Please check the plan’s EFL for specific early termination fee pricing and associate terms & conditions.
  • When will I get my first monthly Battery Credit?
    You’ll receive your first monthly Battery Credit on the first full billing cycle after you’ve enrolled your battery on the plan. However, your Battery Credit for any billing month may be suspended at the sole discretion of TXU Energy if your battery is disconnected from home internet, stops working for any reason, or your capacity reserved for personal use is increased above 20%.
