Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is TXU Energy Battery Rewards?
TXU Energy Battery Rewards offers a way for customers who own Enphase   batteries to send their energy to the grid during times of high usage to help lower demand across Texas. We’ll pay you for access to your battery in digital prepaid Mastercards and you can spend those rewards on anything you’d like.
  • What batteries are eligible?
Currently, only customers who have rooftop solar panels and own a battery from Enphase can participate in this program. If you lease your battery or finance it through a power purchase agreement, you won’t be able to participate at this time. Please check out www.txu.com/batteryrewards for the latest list of eligible battery manufacturers.
  • What TXU Energy plan do I need to be on?
You can participate if you’re on any TXU Energy commodity plan. We recommend you combine Battery Rewards with a solar buyback plan for even more solar benefits. If you’re not a current customer enrolled on an electricity plan and would like to enroll in Battery Rewards, shop our plans.
