In all, 8-year-old Cash Back program has given eligible customers more than $215 million
Hundreds of thousands of Texas residents and businesses have started 2015 with a share of almost $46 million in loyalty rewards from TXU Energy.
The annual payout – the largest in the program’s eight-year history – is based on the amount of electricity that eligible TXU Energy customers used in 2014. TXU Energy was the first electricity retailer in Texas to offer a loyalty rewards program. Since it started in 2007, the company has delivered more than $215 million to customers on Cash Back Loyalty Reward electricity plans.
“We always look forward to thanking eligible customers for their business with Visa® prepaid cards,” said Sydney Seiger, chief marketing officer for TXU Energy. “Electricity is a key part of all of our lives, and our customers tell us that they really appreciate getting a reward for something they do every day.”
To be eligible, a current TXU Energy customer must have been on a Cash Back plan in 2014. Customers who receive Cash Back cards can use them for all sorts of transactions, including groceries, gas, movies, shopping or charitable contributions. They also can call TXU Energy to have the rewards applied to their TXU Energy accounts.
