Being Texan means being a good neighbor. For us, that means making positive contributions to the communities we serve.
TXU Energy AidSM
TXU Energy AidSM helps Texans in need pay their electricity bills. With the generous support of our customers, employees and other donors, we’re able to help keep the homes of approximately 20,000 customers powered and safe every year.
Trees Across Texas Program
Since 2002, TXU Energy has provided over 285,000 trees to communities under our Trees Across Texas program and longstanding partnership with the Texas Trees Foundation. We help create healthy and sustainable communities by partnering with cities, counties, school districts, and nonprofits to provide trees for schools, parks, libraries, and various community facilities. Many of the trees are sourced from the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm and Education Center, the largest-known nonprofit urban tree farm in the nation, located at Richland College in Dallas.
Energy in Action
Energy in Action is the flagship employee volunteer program for TXU Energy and our parent and sister companies. Every year, we give back to the communities we live, work and serve by volunteering in our communities and through sponsorships with the United Way.
Energy Assistance Workshops
We regularly host energy assistance workshops for hundreds of social service agencies statewide. These organizations receive education and training on electricity service and assistance plans, market information and how we’re staying active in the community. Every summer, we join social service agencies and Meals on Wheels to promote heat safety awareness with our Beat the Heat program.
Renewable Energy
Keeping Texas clean is important to us and our customers. Add TXU Energy GreenUpSM to any plan and 100% of the power purchased for your plan comes from wind power. Interested in solar power? Check out our plan option like TXU Solar ClubSM, the first plan of its kind in Texas, that lets you get the benefits of Texas solar farms.
