TXU Energy Veteran’s Saver is a straightforward, fixed-rate electricity plan designed for veterans who value dependable price protection at home. It offers a simple way to manage your energy costs with an energy rate that stays fixed for the length of your contract.

There’s no monthly base charge, plus you can earn bill credits based on your monthly electricity usage. Use at least 1000 kWh in a billing period to receive a $25 bill credit. Use at least 2000 kWh to receive an additional $50 bill credit—for up to $75 a month in bill credits based on usage.

  • How do the bill credits work?
    You’ll receive a $25 Monthly Savings bill credit when your usage reaches 1000 kWh in a billing period. If your usage reaches 2000 kWh, you’ll receive an additional $50 bill credit, for up to a total of $75 in monthly bill credits based on usage.
  • What happens if I use less than 1,000 kWh?
    If your usage is below 1,000 kWh, the bill credit does not apply for that billing period.
  • Is there a monthly base charge?
    No. TXU Energy Veteran’s Saver has a $0 base charge.
  • Will my rate stay the same?
    Your energy charge has a fixed rate for the length of your contract term. TDU delivery charges are passed through separately and may change. Price may also change to reflect certain regulatory fees or changes in law.
  • Is there an early cancellation fee?
    Yes. The early cancellation fee is $295.00.
  • Is this plan a good fit for every household?
    This plan may be a better fit for veterans whose household usage typically reaches at least 1,000 kWh, because that is when the bill credit applies.
