TXU Energy Customer Impact
- Since 2008, the renewable energy bought for TXU Energy residential customers is the equivalent of taking over 210,000 cars off Texas roads.
- The amount of renewable energy purchased for TXU Energy residential customers since 2008 is like having 234,000 acres of Texas pine forest cleaning carbon from the air.
Renewable power purchases by TXU Energy business customers in 2010 avoided an estimated 394,840 metric tons of CO2 emissions, which is roughly equivalent to the following: - Greenhouse gas emissions from 75,000 cars for an entire year.
- The CO2 emissions from the electricity use of 47,000 homes for an entire year.
- Based on renewable energy credits (RECs) retired. |
