TXU Energy-Efficiency Rebates
The TXU Energy Authorized Dealer NetworkSM gives you the confidence to make the right choices for your home's energy efficiency improvements. And for a limited time, you can take advantage of great savings through a rebate from TXU Energy.
Rebates are currently being offered on:
- Air Conditioning - Replace your existing, old inefficient air conditioning system with a ENERGY STAR® rated energy efficient system.
Air Conditioning Systems must meet the April 2006 ENERGY STAR® standard, have a minimum ARI (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute) listed SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) of 14.0 and a minimum Manufacturer EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) of 11.5.
Heat Pump systems must meet all standards for Air Conditioning Systems and have a minimum ARI (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute) listed HSPF (Heating Seasonal Performance Factor) of 8.2. - Insulation - Improve the insulation in your home to keep the heat out in summer and the heat in during the winter. Attic insulation level must currently be below R-22 and increased to an R-30 or greater.
- Windows - Replace your existing windows with ENERGY STAR® rated windows.

*In order to qualify for the rebate, installations of air conditioning systems and ENERGY STAR® windows must be made by member dealers of the TXU Energy Authorized Dealer Network and installations of insulation must be made by EAS (Efficient Attic Systems). The rebates are provided as part of an energy efficiency program administered by Oncor Electric Delivery (the Program). Rebates are issued as a one time credit and posted to the customer''s TXU Energy electricity bill. These funds are limited and available on a first come, first serve basis until: 1) Funds earmarked for the Program are depleted, 2) TXU Energy and TXU SESCO Energy cease to participate in the Program, 3) Oncor Electric Delivery terminates the Program, or 4) October 31, 2008, whichever comes first. To qualify for a rebate, installations must be completed between December 01, 2007 and October 31, 2008. You must meet the following rules to qualify for the rebate: 1) Adhere to the guidelines of the Program, 2) be a TXU Energy electricity customer, 3) installation must be on your home located within the Oncor Electric Delivery service area, and 4) the purchase and installation must be completed prior to issuance of the rebate.
