Kevin Chase

TXU Energy
Kevin Chase is chief information officer for TXU Energy. His core responsibilities include the applications, technical infrastructure and projects necessary to support TXU Energy and their future objectives. He was recruited to join TXU Energy as CIO in 2008 after serving the previous three years in executive consulting roles overseeing TXU Energy's IT transformation. During his time as CIO, Chase has focused on bringing IT operations and development back to TXU Energy while deploying SAP and 40+ other systems comprising the CARE platform.
Prior to joining TXU Energy, Chase was vice president over Black & Veatch's business and technology consulting division. In this role, he was responsible for managing a portfolio of energy companies engaged in large system implementations. In 2005, Black & Veatch acquired a boutique consulting firm (Fortegra) that Chase co-founded and served as senior vice president since 1999. During his six years building Fortegra, he served many energy companies across North America with a focus on improving customer experience and lowering overall cost-to-serve.
Chase started his career at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) where he spent seven years designing, developing and managing large customer care and billing system implementations for energy and utility companies including Florida Power Corp., Southern Company, ComEd, NICOR Gas and Hydro One.
Chase holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Texas at Austin where he graduated with honors (cum laude).
