Donald B. Smith is the vice president of customer operations for TXU Energy, Energy Future Holdings Corp.’s competitive retail business. Smith is responsible for customer care, revenue management, customer issues management and credit & collections.
Smith joined TXU Energy in January 2005 with more than 20 years of experience in regulated and competitive energy markets with Houston Lighting and Power, Reliant Energy, and Gexa Energy.
Smith has extensive marketing, energy efficiency, demand-side management, operations and IT experience. Smith was involved in the early stages of preparing for and operating in competitive gas and electricity markets.
Smith is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor of business administration in marketing. Smith has been married for 25 years to his wife Pam and they have one son, Zachary.
