Increasing Customer Choice and Benefits by Offering:

  • Low Prices: TXU Energy maintains the lowest prices among incumbent Texas retailers. In 2007, TXU Energy reduced retail prices 15% for approximately 1 million residential customers, saving a typical single-family household about $395 on an annual basis. The superior value provided by lower-priced plans, innovative products and a focus on customer service has contributed to greater customer satisfaction and growth in the number of customers.

  • Efficiency Tools: TXU Energy is offering new energy conservation products and tools to help customers save money by using electricity more efficiently. TXU Energy is significantly expanding these programs, funded by a new $100 million investment in energy efficiency programs over the next five years.

  • $150 Million Commitment to Low-Income Assistance and TXU Energy AidSM: TXU Energy AccessSM is a comprehensive set of programs dedicating more than $150 million over five years to assist eligible low income customers. It includes funding to continue the company's 10% low-income discount and TXU Energy AidSM, the company's flagship assistance program, which has provided over $45 million to more than 320,000 families since 1983.

  • Customer Protections: TXU Energy protects its most vulnerable customers through other special programs that provide deferred payments, disconnect moratoriums and deposit waivers.
