CDC, a nonprofit that exists to empower adults with disabilities, and TXU Energy have a rich partnership that continues to grow. Recently, CDC and TXU Energy volunteers planted approximately 4,000 Redbud trees, which are currently at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm. CDC's work facility also provides assistance to TXU Energy through labeling thousands of items, stuffing bags, shipping supplies and much more for sponsorships and community events. This year, TXU Energy is the proud sponsor of the Pathways to Purpose Breakfast and Dash for Dignity, a 5K benefiting CDC.

Sheltering Arms Senior Services & Care for Elders
TXU Energy partners with Sheltering Arms Senior Services and Care for Elders in Houston and more than 80 social service agencies in Harris County as part of a nationwide initiative to improve seniors' lives. TXU Energy has been the title sponsor of the TXU Energy Turkey Trot in Houston for four consecutive years. The TXU Energy Turkey Trot is held every year on Thanksgiving Day, and all proceeds benefit Sheltering Arms Senior Services, a proud community partner of TXU Energy.
TXU Energy Fiesta Marathon & Relay Marathon
For the third year in a row, TXU Energy is the proud title sponsor of the TXU Energy Fiesta Marathon & Relay Marathon in South Texas, which is the Rio Grande Valley's only marathon. Proceeds from the TXU Energy Fiesta Marathon & Relay Marathon benefit three local nonprofit organizations - Comfort House, Palmer Drug Abuse Program and Junior League of McAllen.Navidad in the Neighborhood
TXU Energy is deeply involved with Navidad in the Neighborhood, an organization devoted to providing low-income minority children with gifts at Christmas, and books and sporting equipment throughout the year. TXU Energy supports Navidad in the Neighborhood's programs, such as Fall Into Reading, Spring Into Sports and the educational toy drive.American Red Cross
In 2009, TXU Energy donated $135,000 to the Dallas Area and Chisholm Trail chapters of the American Red Cross to provide disaster relief assistance to victims affected by a series of harsh weather conditions that hit North Texas in May 2007. TXU Energy employees and American Red Cross volunteers walked door-to-door speaking to families who suffered from the severe storms providing support to those in need. The contribution also helped replenish American Red Cross supplies to better prepare for future disasters.Texas Food Banks
TXU Energy made a $12,500 donation to the North Texas Food Bank and a $12,500 donation to the Tarrant Area Food Bank to replenish food supplies after extended storm-related outages in North Texas. Through the Food Bank's emergency food assistance program, TXU Energy volunteers also supplied food in backpacks for children living with or at-risk for hunger.Other Nonprofit Beneficiaries
